a nice show in this genre, though i personaly prefer this bands more exploratory sets a good example is live at the tritone2004-8-24.
by the way bangkok ... ajarn, its all well and good that you see musicians as mere entertainers.
what qualifies you to tell them how not to express their political views in their art.

Good, but not one of the best. They're concentrating more on playing short songs right now, and I much prefer the lengthy stuff. JFJO has always been very

political (see all the "George Bush Is a Liar" improvisations from 2003). I wouldn't have it any other way!

I have downloaded and listened to a few of this bandÂs shows. Overall, pretty good. However I wish they would get rid of the Halliburton Breakdown song.
...
I am a political junkie and will argue politics till the cows come home, but I feel music should be free of politics and something we can all enjoy together regardless of political views. I tire of artists feeling the need to share their unsophisticated and simplistic political and world views with the rest of us. Why not do what they do well, jam and play tunes and leave the political commentary to those who have a clue to what is going on in the world. Overall, the band is pretty good and worth a listen. The band doesnÂt quite hit me as well as some others playing this type of improvised jazzy-jam thing which I love so much, but that might just be a matter of taste. Check out the Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, I have to give the band credit for playing in an original format and taking chances. I am sure I will check out a few more of the bandÂs shows, they may not be my favorite, but I still consider the band and this show a good listen.

anyone in the crowd thought (it was really hot so everyone was pissed). But musically, this was some awesome stuff. I really love Mike Dillon w/ JFJO as well. Hes from Garage a Trois' if you havent heard of em'. But this show had an excellent version of neil young's dont let it bring you down in the beggining, and an awesome santiago -----> haliburton breakdown. Short but sweet JFJO here. 5 star dound quality too!
